PAYROLL / ACCOUNTS / ADMINISTRATOR

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Payroll / Accounts / Bookkeeper / Administration professional to support the financial and operational backbone of our growing company. This role suits someone who thrives in a dynamic, creative environment where attention to detail and accuracy are valued as highly as collaboration and initiative.
The Role
- Location: Hemmant, Brisbane | On-site
- Hours: Part-time | 20 - 30 Hours / Week | 3 - 4 Days / Week
- Salary: $30 – $40 per hour (Based on experience)
Working under the direction of our Managing Director and project teams, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting and administrative functions of the business. This isn’t just another part-time administration role. It’s your chance to play a key part in keeping our business thriving. You’ll manage important accounts, liaise directly with clients and make a tangible impact on cash flow and business operations from our Hemmant office. You’ll have the autonomy to bring your own style, take ownership of your work, and be recognised for your contributions.
Key Responsibilities...
- End-to-end bookkeeping and daily transaction management.
- Accurate and timely payroll processing using MYOB.
- Managing accounts payable and receivable, supplier invoices, and client payments.
- Daily reconciliation of bank accounts and project-related expenses.
- Maintaining and updating employee records, superannuation & leave entitlements.
- Assisting with award compliance and ensuring adherence to Fair Work obligations.
- Preparing weekly & monthly financial reports.
- Preparing & supporting quarterly BAS and EOFY processes
- General office administration, document control, and workflow support.
- Reconciling bank statements and customer payments to keep finances on track.
- Running weekly and monthly reports to help shape cash flow and budgets.
- Actively engaging professionally with customers daily to ensure timely payments. Your diligent, discipline and initiative make the difference.
What You Bring...
We’re seeking a dependable, proactive and results-driven individual with:
- A solid background in payroll, accounts, and bookkeeping (minimum 3–5 years)
- Demonstrated expertise in accounts receivable and debt collection.
- Confidence, professionalism, and assertiveness when managing client accounts.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and follow-through.
- Strong research and analytical skills with a drive for process improvement.
- Proficiency in MYOB is Essential.
- A team-focused attitude, initiative & pride in your work.
Desirable...
- Experience in a manufacturing, construction, or trades-based environment.
- Familiarity with the Timber Industry Award or similar.
- Experience in debt collection
